Wanderlust

2010. A poem conceived during my extreme wanderlust that triggered a chain of significant and wondrous events in my life.

A girl on a bicycle floating with balloons

Ride, ride, ride

my pink bike

Far, too far

from my forgiveness

Far, too far

from my wanderlust

Small steady steps

are too big shoes to fill

It's about time

to finally let go

Let go.

My skin, my sins

Keep me from bursting

But I am in pieces

Scattered, shattered

with nothing to give

nothing to hold

Lost for words

Lost in the world

And lusting for the world!

Let go.

This is a familiar place

This is a familiar phase

I've been here

But I don't know where to go

Just let go.
